At the 62nd World show in Bari, Italy a delegation from Malta along with IOA  president Richard Lumley and the OMJ person for the UK Simon Tammam held a meeting with the OMJ members, secretary Alessandro Paparella and Gino Cortese who is responsible for section G to discuss everything to do with the Greenfinch and the Pied Greenfinch. The members from Malta presented a first class paper work on what they and the UK want for this bird, they did the proposal in four different languages and had new standards drawn up. The out come of this meeting was that the OMJ are not keen on the Pied Greenfinch but will take on board the plain Greenfinch, so now the members from Malta no what they have to do in the next three years because this is how long it may take.
